7 - The Bug

It's never one circumstance that overpowers a student. It's an accumulation of events.
You never know what a guy is thinking. He's got that little bug in his head saying "Should I quit?" Once he gets the bug that's it.

Humor and duty will only carry a student so far. It comes down to personal resolve. For Christian's it is personal resolve and relying on the strength of Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Controlled agression. The instructors challenge the students to harness the cold and turn it into aggression against the surf. How can you channel the thoughts and fears Satan plants in your mind into aggression against evil, into praise for good?

The effort is the most important thing and is what the instructors are looking for. Do you give 110% in Christ's battle? The instructors know what Seals are capable of and Christ knows what we are capable of. Most of us know what we are capable of and how we fall short. Are mental blocks holding us back?

The key is too stay relaxed. No matter how tired or nervous you get. What makes us panic/fearful? Fear seperates us from Christ. There is no Fear in Faith.
