5 - Gut Check Inspection

The instructors are tough on the students. Very tough. You may think that their attention to detail is over the top, but they are probing the students commitment. The Navy Seals are an elite team that takes on life and death missions with one purpose - success and survival. In their world there is no room for error.

Reality is that it is the same for Christians. No room for error. Satan will use any mental lapse, any lack of commitment to try and seperate you from Christ. Once seperated, you forget the mission, the gift Christ gave you, and the price He paid for it.

Are you ready for your final inspection with Christ? Chip Ingram puts it like this:
Once we come to know Christ and accept the free gift of salvation, the spirit dwells within us, we are a brand new creation and our salvation is sealed. But the moment you begin your new life, God says: I have an agenda for you. I am giving you X amount of time, energy, money, spiritual gifts, background, position, and personality. And since you came to Jesus you're going to meet him as Judge when you get to the end of your life. I'm not going to judge you for your sin, because that was judged at the cross. You're a believer, and you're heaven bound. But I am going to do an evaluation of your life. I will ask, "Child, what did you do with everything I gave you?"

The one who knows every secret of our heart will evaluate us clearly and completely. Judgement will follow. We will either hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant," or we will watch as our lifelong efforts get burned up. (1Corinthians 3:10-15)
If Satan cannot keep you from eternity with Christ, he will do everything he can to make your final inspection as bad as possible.

Do you have instructors in your life asking you the tough questions that will will give you the mental discipline to win the battle and make the most of your life on this earth?
