A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject.

If I ask you, “What do you want out of life?” and you say something like, “I want to be happy and have a great family and a job I like,” it’s so ubiquitous that it doesn’t even mean anything. A more interesting question, a question that perhaps you’ve never considered before, is:
What pain do you want in your life? What are you willing to struggle for?
Because that seems to be a greater determinant of how our lives turn out.
Happiness is like being cool, the harder you try the less it’s going to happen. So stop trying. Start living.
Neal Creech - CLC
“Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?”

All,
This stands out because it reminds me how badly I need Christ. There is a balance that is needed when speaking the truth in love. Christ lovingly spoke the truth to lead us to repentance. Is it possible to use discernment without condemnation? Paul says, "God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?” Please pray that we and our friends seek Christ and ask Him to transform us and to conform us into His likeness.
